Master pool and spa remodeling in this 16-hour course that teaches you to navigate real-world challenges from construction, engineering, and design perspectives. Learn to troubleshoot problems, bond new materials to old structures, incorporate current trends, and transform outdated pools into stunning showcases while expanding your business.

    Instructors

    Terry Brannon, P.E.
    Terry Brannon began his career in public works, beginning with the cities of Irving and Tyler in Texas before founding The Brannon Corporation. He continues to specialize in public works projects, but the firm has carved out an aquatic niche using their expertise in water conveyance and treatment and structural design. Brannon is registered in 23 states as a licensed professional engineer. Now in semi-retirement from the engineering consulting business—50 years total in engineering and 40 years in aquatics—Brannon keeps himself busy sharing his experiences by writing and training engineers and contractors in the design and construction of aquatic facilities from public fountains, to splash pads, water parks, competition venues, lakes and streams, and private pools. He continues as a consultant to various construction management companies, hotels and resorts, municipalities, and branches of the U.S. Department of Defense. Terry serves as GENESIS® Engineering Faculty Chair.

    Ken Milbery
    Ken Milbery is Director of Technical Services for Lunada Bay Tile, a glass tile manufacturer in Southern California. Prior to his current position, he worked for National Pool Tile as a Building Material Specialist. He is highly regarded as one of the pool industries top specialist in waterproofing, glass tile installation systems and building material technologies. Ken worked alongside the elite luxury pool contractors in Los Angeles and surrounding areas for more than 15 years. Ken continues to share his extensive knowledge through training, seminars, and industry trade shows around the country. A former Masonry contractor, he has 25+ years of combined experience in the pool industry. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University. Ken serves as GENESIS® Waterproofing & Tile Installation Faculty Advisor.

    Kirk Bianchi
    Kirk Bianchi is the founder and designer of Bianchi Design, a custom luxury watershape and landscape design firm based in Scottsdale, AZ. Educated in the renowned architectural school at Arizona State University, Kirk founded Bianchi Design in 1999 as a conceptual design firm that expresses the outdoors as a living art form. Kirk teaches for PHTA/GENESIS® and publishes prolifically. He is widely acclaimed for his designs, including being named a ‘Master Of The Southwest’ in 2005 for his artistry and awards in the exterior design industry. When he’s not creating outdoor art for his clients, he roams the world, seeking fresh inspiration for his designs, while appreciating art, culture, exquisite dining — and of course, the beauty of nature.
